We’ve put together answers to the most commonly asked questions about our services, products, and policies to make things easier.
For unreserved seating shows, you are free to sit wherever is available. We recommend arriving early to guarantee the best seats. Your ticket will say ‘unreserved’ or ‘GA (General Admission)’
For reserved seating shows, you will have a specific numbered seat in a specific location. Level 1 is the ground level, and includes Block A, Block B and Block C. Block C is our tiered seating area. Level 2 is the first level balcony. Level 3 is the second level balcony.
For shows with standing tickets, the seating is removed from Level 1. All standing tickets are general admission. Balcony seating may be reserved or unreserved in this case.
You can purchase your tickets for events held at TF Royal through Ticketmaster / Ticketsolve. Please see event page for specific details. Ticketmaster and Ticketsolve event tickets can also be purchased via the TF Royal Box Office, located in the TF Royal Hotel Reception. They can also be purchased over the phone on 094 90 23111.
Patrons with mobility issues can purchase tickets via the TF Royal Box Office by calling 094 90 23111. We recommend patrons with vertigo or fear of heights purchase tickets on Level 1. If you have any further queries regarding this, please contact us via email at reservations@tfroyal.ie.
Tickets purchased over the phone can be collected at any time before the event at the TF Royal Hotel Reception. Tickets purchased online can be collected from the TF Royal Hotel Reception 2 hours before the event, or collected in the Theatre Box Office, located directly inside the TF Royal Theatre when doors are open.
Please refer to your ticket which will give you the door opening times and show start times. Additional information can also be found on our website, social media, and the promoter’s website. We cannot always confirm show finishing times or intervals, as they are dependent on the acts.
If you have a spare ticket, please use Ticketmaster’s Fan-to-Fan Resale Ticket Exchange to sell it to another fan or use social media. Unfortunately, TF Royal cannot take tickets back for resale or offer refunds.
If tickets were purchased via TF Royal Box Office/Ticketsolve, please contact TF Royal at 094 90 23111. Duplicate tickets may be issued at TF Royal’s discretion on the day of the event. We may ask for proof of ID and proof of purchase. Please contact ticket provider if tickets are purchased via TicketMaster Online.
Unfortunately, tickets cannot be exchanged for different events, even if they are of the same monetary value / same event on a different date.
For your safety, we require that anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult when attending a show. Some events are strictly over 16s / over 18’s only. Please visit specific event page to find out more.
Tickets may be bought at the door, depending on availability.
Unfortunately, tickets can only be refunded in the event that the performance is cancelled. Tickets will be refunded at face value, excluding fees and postage. In the event of a cancelled performance, we will not be liable for additional travel or accommodation expenses. Tickets will be refunded at your point of purchase.

TF Royal has 3 event spaces: TF Royal Theatre, The Ruby Room and The Velvet Room.
Late comers may not be admitted depending on the production guidelines and late admittance is at the discretion of the manager on duty. Late admittance will only take place at a suitable break in the performance and late comers may not be allocated in the seat they have previously purchased.
Food and beverages cannot be brought into the venue, even unopened plastic bottles are not permitted. There are various bars and a tuck shop throughout the venue serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as a range of confectionery and snacks. We do not have any sit-down areas for food in the theatre.
A food truck will also be on-site for particular events. Please check the event page of your specific show to find out more.
During an event, no glass can be given to patrons by bar staff. This is for the safety of you and our staff. All beverages must be poured by TF Royal bar staff.

We are moving towards a cashless venue and will have service stations accepting all major credit and debit cards. However, we will always have at least one cash service station available. This will be marked by clear signage.
Yes! There are men’s, women’s and accessible bathrooms on every level of the theatre.
Yes! Please keep in mind you may be asked for ID. We reserve the right to refuse any sale of alcohol. Some events require the bars to be closed during the Main Act. In this case, bars will reopen during the interval if applicable.
There is ample parking both on-site and adjacent to the theatre in a multi-story carpark. Charges apply for the multi-story carpark, located at The Ellison Hotel, F23V279.
Designated accessible parking is available at the entrance of TF Royal Hotel.

TF Royal is conveniently located directly beside the Castlebar Bus Stop, as well as being 1.5KM away from Castlebar Train Station.
For some events we will be running a bus service in partnership with Corduff Travel. This bus will service routes from Westport, Belmullet, Ballina, Tubbercurry, Tuam and Headford. Please check the event page of your specific show to find out more. You can also visit our TF Bus page.
Taxis are also available from the TF Royal Hotel Reception. Our team will be happy to assist in calling a taxi for you but cannot guarantee their availability on any given day.
Discreet phone photography is permitted; however, phone flash photography is not. No professional photography equipment is allowed in the venue, unless agreed with promoter and TF Royal in advance.
In the case that no photography is permitted at the request of the act, clear signage will be visible throughout the auditorium.

The Green Room Bar & Restaurant is open from 12pm – 8:45pm for dining. The bar may remain open depending on events.
The Yew Tree Café is open from 7:30am – 5:30pm, however Yew Tree Café may stay open until 8pm before certain events in the TF Royal Theatre. Please check the event page of your specific show to find out more.
