Where it all Began

Step into our rich history at the TF Royal, where our journey began in the early 1950s. From its humble beginnings, our venue has undergone remarkable transformations to become the state-of-the-art theatre we proudly call home today. In 1961, the Royal Ballroom captivated locals and soon became a beloved spot. Fast forward to 1999, and our theatre format for concerts was established, setting the stage for further growth. In 2005, we developed a 1500-seater theatre, which served as the testing ground for our current 2,200-seater TF Royal Theatre.

Welcome to our unmatched venue! With a 2,200 seated capacity and 4,000 standing, our 3,200 sq ft stage boasts top-notch technology including acoustics, visuals, lighting, production rigging and backstage facilities. Serving a 580,000 market catchment area within 70 miles, we’re the largest venue outside Dublin with no comparable size within 150 miles. Not only that, we also have 10 additional function rooms, a multi-story carpark adjacent to the theatre and a 3 star hotel on-site. Get ready for an unforgettable experience!

Ruby Room

The Ruby Room is a flexible space for meetings, conferences, and events, offering seating for up to 260 or standing room for 400. It shifts from a professional setup to a networking format or reception with ease, supported by strong sound, lighting, and presentation systems. It works well for seminars, product launches, awards events, and company gatherings, giving you a comfortable and polished setting that supports clear communication and a smooth program from arrival to wrap-up.

Velvet Room

The Velvet Room supports business and social events with seating for up to 170 guests or standing room for 300. The layout shifts easily for meetings, conferences, banquets, or networking, and the audio visual setup delivers a clear and professional experience. The room sits next to catering facilities so your guests receive prompt dining service with menus suited to your program. On site parking keeps arrival and departure simple. This space works well for high level meetings, formal dinners, and corporate celebrations that need a polished and reliable setting.
