TF Royal Castlebar is buzzing after the incredible success of the Castlebar Pantomime’s Once Upon a Time in Pantoland, which lit up the stage from January 16th to 19th.
This magical, family-friendly pantomime brought the community together in a celebration of local talent and creativity. Featuring an opening sensory show and two lively matinee performances, Once Upon a Time in Pantoland enchanted audiences of all ages with its humor, music, and heartwarming story.
The production team behind this year’s triumph included the returning Sharon Lavelle as Co-Director and Jason Guthrie as Choreographer, whose expertise once again shone brightly. Joining the team were newcomers Rebecca Cresham as Musical Director and Emma Daly as Co-Director, whose fresh perspectives added an exciting new dimension to the production.
The story followed Dame Tallulah Tickle, her mischievous kids Tommy and Tilly, and a host of quirky characters as they faced the evil witch Mouldywart, who stole the Spirit of Pantoland. Thanks to PC Pete, his trusty dog Baxter, and a little help from the Fairy Grandmother, the laughter was restored, leaving everyone with big smiles by the final curtain.
A spokesperson for TF Royal Castlebar remarked, “We couldn’t be more thrilled with the success of this year’s pantomime. It was an absolute joy to host such an incredible production and can’t wait for the next one!”
TF Royal Castlebar extends its gratitude to the performers, production team, and everyone who attended for making this year’s pantomime a truly unforgettable event.
