From Malin Head to the M50, Clifden to Cooley, all eyes are on Castlebar’s TF Royal as it gears up to tally votes for the newly expanded Midlands-North-West constituency. This complex count, involving over one million ballots from 15 counties, commences on June 9th.
With preparations well underway, newly appointed General Manager Michael Yates expressed enthusiasm: “We’re thrilled to welcome thousands of visitors to Castlebar this week, which will significantly boost our local economy. Centrally located within the constituency, the TF Royal can accommodate up to 4,200 people in its main theatre, with an additional 250 people in an adjoining function space designated for the local election count.
