George Murphy has delighted audiences over the last 20 years as a special guest of Aslan, The Dubliners, and a member of The High Kings. However, he’s set to embark on an exciting new venture with his band The Rising Sons.

Featuring a talented ensemble of 8 musicians, The Rising Sons offer an irresistible fusion of Trad, Folk, and Rock n Roll, blending whistles, fiddles, and banjos with Electric Guitars, Bass, and Percussion. Expect to be enthralled by George and The Sons’ original compositions as well as their innovative interpretations of timeless folk classics.

RTE Folk Awards nominee Padraig Jack hails from the Aran Islands, known for producing esteemed writers like Liam O’Flaithearta, Máirtín Ó’Direáin, and Breandán Ó’hEithir. Bilingual in Irish Gaelic and English, he crafts poignant songs on guitar and piano, drawing inspiration from James Taylor, The Eagles, Van Morrison, Sinead O’Connor, and Shane McGowan.

His debut album ‘Making Sand’ earned critical acclaim, securing an RTE Folk Award nomination for ‘Best Original Song’. Collaborating with producer John Reynolds and esteemed musicians like Anthony Thistlethwaite, Padraig seamlessly blends contemporary music with his Irish cultural heritage, captivating audiences across Ireland, the UK, Wales, and the Basque country.

Exciting endeavors await in 2024, including the release of his new single ‘Atone’, joint performances, and a nationwide tour. Praise from critics and fellow musicians solidify his status as one of Ireland’s most promising talents.
