George Murphy & The Rising Sons bring the Ultimate Session Tour to TF Royal Theatre
George Murphy & The Rising Sons are set to bring their Ultimate Session Tour to the TF Royal Theatre, Castlebar on Saturday, 24 October, with a special in-the-round performance that will place audiences right at the heart of the action.
With the stage positioned in the centre of the venue, fans can expect an intimate, energetic night of Irish folk, traditional music and rock ’n’ roll, featuring original material alongside fresh interpretations of much-loved classics.
George Murphy first rose to fame at just 17 following his appearance on RTÉ’s You’re A Star and has since built a successful career spanning more than two decades. Today, he fronts the eight-piece Rising Sons, combining his distinctive vocals with whistles, fiddles, banjos, guitars, bass and percussion.
The Castlebar show will also feature a unique opportunity for local musicians and performers to join George and The Rising Sons on stage. Anyone interested in being considered as a special guest is invited to send a video of themselves performing via George Murphy’s official Instagram or Facebook pages.
