Expect A Brilliant Night Of Traditional Music, Song And Dance
After their powerful and energetic performance at the All-Ireland Fleadh in Mullingar in 2023, the Piper’s Cross Céilí Band were crowned All Ireland Champions. This talented young band are the first senior céilí band from Mayo to ever receive the title since the competition started in 1951. This lively band always bring a vibrant energy to the stage through their music, which strongly reflects the great set dancing tradition of Mayo.
The band are looking forward to taking the stage in December, and promises a brilliant night of traditional music, song and dance. With support on the night from local All Ireland Winning group the Rolling Waves, this exciting event is not to be missed.
The band hails from the County of Mayo with the exception of one member from Fermanagh. Band Members include Caoimhe Kilkenny, Paul Clesham and Eoghan Hughes (Fiddles), Aodhan Hughes (Banjo), Conor Maheady and Cian Kilkenny (flutes), Davog Frayne (button accordion), Edel Flemming (concertina), Eoin Walsh (piano) and Ryan Maguire (drums).
