The staff at TF Royal Castlebar were over the moon as they clinched the coveted ‘Resilience and Innovation’ award at the Mayo Business Awards. A big Thank You was sent out to the fantastic people of Mayo for their unwavering support, making TF Royal a hub for quality entertainment and dining experiences in the region.
Despite overcoming challenging pandemic years, 2023 marked a year of remarkable growth and enhancements for TF Royal Castlebar, now boasting a team of over 80 employees. The introduction of two new dining gems, The Green Room Bar & Restaurant and Yew Tree Café, coupled with a vibrant new look both onsite and online, played a pivotal role in securing this well-deserved win for the Castlebar landmark.
TF Royal remains dedicated to bringing national and international acts to Mayo, with over 60 events currently on sale, featuring local talents like Alan Clarke and Ger Staunton. The establishment received accolades for its steadfast support of the Mayo Arts scene, collaborating with local musical societies, schools, colleges, festivals, and Mayo Day. Their continuous sponsorship commitments to local sporting events and charities were also acknowledged.
Without the support of the local community, we wouldn't have achieved this award. We are a family business, operating for over 70 years, and we'll always strive to provide the people of Mayo with top-quality service and an excellent entertainment and dining offering.
Looking forward, Marco Sellors, Director of Food & Beverage, shared, “Our future is bright here at the TF Royal. We’ve continued adding new upgrades and offerings across the property in recent weeks. The Green Room Bar & Restaurant now boasts a brand-new menu, launched just last week. Additionally, the external area of Yew Tree Café will be completely enclosed ahead of the festive season.“
TF Royal has ambitious plans to further its sustainability practices, including rainwater harvesting, the use of recycled glass and packaging, and the installation of solar panels. Excitingly, they announced a new offering in the pipeline for next year—a public podcast facility.
