Irish music is alive, kicking — and making a lot of noise!

Pipeversity is a spectacular celebration of Irish music, dance and song that takes the power and passion of traditional piping and throws open the doors to a whole new world of sound.

Led by the acclaimed Clew Bay Pipe Band, this is Irish music with attitude: massed pipes meet soaring voices, driving rhythms, contemporary influences and the exhilarating energy of Irish dance.

Joining the band on stage are Mundy, Cresham Irish Dancers and Anú, bringing together musicians, dancers and singers from different generations and backgrounds for a performance that is full of colour, movement and sheer musical energy.

And this is no ordinary concert.

Pipeversity believes that music grows when it travels. It evolves when cultures meet, musicians collaborate and the next generation gets to make its mark.

This year, that spirit reaches across borders and across generations, as our  younf irish bandmates join forces with their Polish counterparts — sharing music, ideas and inspiration, and creating something new together.

That collaboration brings young Szymon Karlowicz of The Voice of Poland, to the Pipeversity stage, adding a new voice, a new energy and another exciting dimension to the show.

The Clew Bay Pipe Band know a thing or two about putting on a show. Their remarkable journey has seen them perform alongside The Chieftains, Imelda May, Jeff Beck, Matt Molloy and Damien Dempsey, appear on The Late Late Show and perform at Temple Bar TradFest, as well as headline the Criou Celt Festival in France.

Now they bring that experience, energy and spirit to Pipeversity — joined by young performers and experienced musicians.
